You have Lost Something on a Bus – Model Answer 1
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with your customer service staff who has not yet responded positively to my complaint.
I boarded one of your buses from St. John Street to the City Centre to attend an official meeting at around 3 pm on 20th of this month. Once I alighted, the bus, I realized that I did not take one of my leather bags, in which I kept some official receipts from the bus. It is a rectangular-shaped black leather bag, with the label, ‘Adidas’.
Immediately, I called the customer service centre and reported the incident. He informed me that he registered the complaint and I will get the response in a couple of hours. However, even after a day, they have not called me. As I found that the customer service number busy whenever I called later, I thought of registering a written complaint.
It would be appreciated if you could assist me in finding the bag by your own means or to suggest alternatives like registering a police complaint. I would also suggest you to improve your customer service.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Zohan
IELTS General Training Letter Sample – Model Answer 2
I am writing to you to express my concern over the lost item on your bus. I did not get an adequate response after making many requests to customer service.
Let me inform you that I lost my black leather bag which had written the brand name ‘Adidas’ on its front. In addition, in its side pocket, I had kept my water bottle. The bag contained insurance papers, my driving license and a mini-tablet.
Furthermore, I tried to ask customer service about my lost property, but I could not get a satisfactory result. They showed no interest in asking me any questions about the whereabouts of the bag. Many times, they did not pick up my phone call and sometimes I was put off if I tried to ask about my lost item.
I would like you to look into the matter. It would be great to ask from bus conductor about the bag. I have a ticket for that day, which I can send you. I had put my bag on the upper berth of seat number 702. I have badly need of my bag. If this issue remains unresolved, I would have no other option but to make a police report. I hope to maintain the trust of the cuff commuters, and you will make it right.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Faithfully,
Karina
You have Lost Something on a Bus IELTS Letter Writing – Model Answer 3
Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I’m writing this letter to you to express my disappointment with your customer service.
I lost my mobile phone while travelling on your bus. It was the latest model iPhone 12 pro, which was gifted to me by my mother on my birthday last week. Besides, it is very expensive, and I can’t afford to buy the same again.
I contacted the customer service department to share the same incident that happened with me, but to my wonder, it turned out to be very unhelpful. Moreover, they were least concerned about my issue and were busy with their own personal works rather than assisting valued customers.
I would kindly request you to investigate this matter and fire the employees who are not worthy to the company as this ruins your company’s reputation.
I look forward to your positive reply and the action you decided to take.
Yours Faithfully
Zohan

IELTS General Training Letter You have Lost Something on a Bus – Model Answer 3
Dear Sir / Ma’am,
This letter is in regards to me losing my office bag on your bus the day before yesterday, that is Wednesday, 12th August. I boarded bus number 122, at around quarter to 5 in the evening from Dadar and was to get down at the last stop, that is Kharghar.
My seat was in the third row from the back on the right side. I had kept my office bag under the seat. It was a black coloured rectangular bag of leather, with a half-torn white luggage tag on the belt. When I got down, I unfortunately forgot to take my bag with me. After I realized this, I called the bus service helpline number, and tried to explain my problem. They asked me to call the next day, which I did, but the executive on the other end wasn’t very interested in my complaint, and neither did I get a sincere definite answer from her.
I would like to request you to kindly look into the matter and help me get my bag back. The executive I spoke to was a lady by the name Sarita. Kindly ask the office staff to conduct a proper search; if possible, I can come down to where the lost and found items department is for identifying my bag.
I’m hoping for a prompt reply from your end for the next course of action.
Yours sincerely,
Abhijit
