Young People should be required to have Full-time Education IELTS Essay
Many feel that students should be required to attend full-time classes until the age of 18. In my opinion, when economically viable this mandate is advisable.
Those who oppose this policy argue it is impossible in more rural areas, particularly in developing nations. In such locations, children and teenagers often do not have convenient access to schools and assisting their parents with farm or other work is a greater priority. For example, in many rural villages in South Asia, even young children must lend a hand working to raise crops and livestock. The parents of these children can also make the legitimate argument that they are preserving a traditional and equally valuable way of life that does not involve modern schooling. However, these contexts are becoming rarer as individuals migrate to cities and the countryside receives improved infrastructure.
The main reason to support compulsory full-time education to the age of 18 is the opportunities it opens up in an evolving world. The lifestyle in rural areas that now seemingly justifies reduced schooling is disappearing due to more efficient farming equipment and the industrialization of production methods. Therefore, the most viable path for most individuals is to have an education through high school and ideally university that will endow them with employable skills. For instance, an individual who has learned a variety of subjects and graduated from formal schooling can then apply either for higher education or a job that requires a high school certificate. Both their worst and best case scenarios for the future improve considerably.
In conclusion, despite the valid reasons that exist in rural communities to de-emphasize education, it is worthwhile to enforce mandatory schooling for all minors. This is now more important than ever as job markets become more competitive.

It is often thought by some that children should be obligated to study round the clock until they become adults. I totally disagree to this notion. This approach is not viable for some families and also young people’s interest differs and should be considered
To begin with, whole time education is not possible for some people. In most developing countries, children assist their parents in their family businesses to make ends meet. The idea of allowing their children study fully might not be welcomed as they depend on the joint efforts of each family member to survive. These people’s living standards is relatively low hence it is not justifiable to make their living conditions worse by implementing such practice. Take some families in the south eastern part of Nigeria for an example. Their major profession is subsistence farming where each family member work together in the family farm to plant and rear farm animals. Hence this method might not be viable for these category of people.
Additionally, interest is the most important factor that should be considered. Some young people are interested in other areas such as arts and sports. These extracurricular activities should be included in their studies. This inclusionary study pattern often eradicate the issue of boredom and allows children unwind and relax after a stressful study session. On top of that this makes education more desirable to them and may at the long run increase their performance overall. To illustrate, most secondary schools in Nigeria often inculcate club and sport activities in their curriculum. This has proven to be effective as children often look forward to going to school.
Finally, I concede that in this contemporary epoch education is even more important. However if it is made an all day activity, the overall effect on children would likely be a lack of enthusiasm.
In conclusion, I do not believe that making education whole time is a good development as it is not attainable for some families and also children’s choices should be put into consideration.
IELTS Essay on Young people should be required to have full-time education
Several representatives of modern society believe that teenagers should be enrolled in full-time education after the age of 18. I agree with this statement undoubtedly and I am going to state my point of view on such a question and give strong arguments supporting my main position.
On the one hand, we can observe that many of today’s freshmen are minors. Moreover, they enroll in full-time education and study in the same way as other students. I assume that such a trend has a negative impact and triggers certain consequences. At first, students may find it difficult to study university subjects due to their early age. For example, teenagers cannot understand psychology. Therefore, such a misunderstanding can provoke misconceptions about human relationships and humanity in general. Secondly, minors often study what they do not like. Consequently, they may have problems with their future profession.
However, teenagers can choose different programs or internships after school. For example, universities can organize courses for minors to help them understand what kind of work they prefer. Similarly, such courses can prepare them to become a student and become a participant in student life. To feel comfortable and not experience problems with their studies, I believe that such programs can significantly help the younger generation and they cannot make a mistake.
To conclude, I would like to emphasize that, having made these remarks, it is true that such a trend is being criticized. Nevertheless, it is up to the parents to decide when their offspring will be ready for university.
